WorkSMART Consulting has conducted a 2-day workshop on “Practical Application of Bangladesh Labor Law & Rules – Case Study Method” on May 19 & 26, 2023 at BRAC Learning Center (BLC), Niketon, Gulshan in Dhaka.
Muhammad Habibur Rahman, Acting Labor Advisor of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) facilitated this workshop. He was assisted by Ishtiak Taher, Lead Consultant, WorkSMART Consulting. 48 mid and senior level HR, Admin & Compliance professionals attended this workshop. The participants came from a varied range of industries like RMG, textiles, pharmaceuticals, real estate, shipbuilding, hospital & health care, personal care, port and terminal etc.
Besides discussing and analyzing the applications of Labor laws and Rules in different context, the participants were also shown a host of previous legal judgments (from different labor and other courts) to consolidate their learning. However, the most important element of the training was the realistic case studies that were put forward to the participants to challenge and test their understanding of the labor law. Overall, it was two very engaging days of learning for the participants.
SHRM-CP & SHRM-SCP certified professionals who attended this workshop has also earned 12 PDCs for their respective recertification process.
